This 1979 Fender Stratocaster is a great example of a player grade late '70s Strat that had suffered some changes over the years, and has now been restored to its former glory. Refinished in an Olympic White custom colour lacquer, this guitar has a style that really sets it apart from other Strat's of this period.
Featuring a Maple neck and Alder body, this Stratocaster was previously routed for humbuckers and a Floyd Rose Tremolo system. Our luthiers at The Vintage Instrument Workshop have put it back to period correct specs, with the body and bridge routes filled and refitted with a period correct Stratocaster tremolo system. The body is fitted with a set of Monterey Stratocaster single coil pickups, hand wound by the good folks at Radioshop Pickups.
All the hardware and the wiring loom, with the exception of the neck plate and original 'F' stamped tuners, have been replaced with modern equivalent parts. The finish has been hand aged with checking to suit the guitars' vintage, as has the pickguard.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
